Chardonnay

The fruit from each Wetzel Estate vineyard was vinified and treated differently. This blend consists of: 30 % Barrel fermentation, aged sur lie for 9 months. 70 % Stainless steel fermentation. 30 % Malolactic fermentation. The Chardonnay grapes were picked at optimal ripeness and show excellent natural acidity. The fermentations were conducted utilizing a selection of three different yeast strains which provide this wine with complex aromas which express Alexander Valley fruit at its finest. |
